I DEAL has always been a tongue and cheek name inspired by our small and humble beginnings serving fresh roasted coffee in the heart of Toronto. Over the years, we’ve ‘dealt’ more than just fresh roasted coffee, but also wine, chocolate, local provisions and our own freshly made savory prepared foods.

All great food comes from land that's been cultivated, tended to and stewarded by many hands. Land, identity, culture and power are often nuanced topics to navigate and create discussions around. 

We would like to acknowledge that we are still learning what that means for us as a business and roaster creating, working and growing in T’karonto (the place in the water where the trees are standing). This land is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

We also acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the many lands on which our coffee beans are sourced from and recognize their continued interconnection to us.
